About the Opportunity
We’re currently partnering with a number of well-established law firms on multiple opportunities across payroll and legal bookkeeping functions.

These positions sit within high-performing finance teams and offer a mix of responsibilities depending on your experience and interests.

The Roles Opportunities currently include:

  • Payroll Officers / Payroll Leads (including standalone roles)

  • Legal Bookkeepers (with trust accounting exposure)

Both full-time and part-time options are available.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the role, responsibilities may include:

  • End-to-end payroll processing (including multi-entity environments)

  • Managing payroll compliance, awards, superannuation, payroll tax and reporting

  • Handling payroll queries and maintaining payroll systems

  • Accounts payable and receivable

  • Trust accounting in line with legal and regulatory requirements

  • Bank, trust, and general ledger reconciliations

  • Preparing financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, month-end reporting)

  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

  • Assisting with tax and regulatory compliance

  • Implementing and improving financial and payroll systems (e.g. Xero, payroll platforms)

  • Driving process improvements across payroll and finance functions

About You

  • Experience in payroll, bookkeeping, or finance roles (ideally 4+ years)

  • Prior experience within a law firm or professional services environment highly regarded

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes and/or trust accounting requirements

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Systems-savvy with experience across accounting or payroll platforms

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
