About the Opportunity
We’re currently partnering with a number of well-established law firms on multiple opportunities across payroll and legal bookkeeping functions.
These positions sit within high-performing finance teams and offer a mix of responsibilities depending on your experience and interests.
The Roles Opportunities currently include:

Payroll Officers / Payroll Leads (including standalone roles)

Legal Bookkeepers (with trust accounting exposure)
Both full-time and part-time options are available.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on the role, responsibilities may include:

End-to-end payroll processing (including multi-entity environments)
-
Managing payroll compliance, awards, superannuation, payroll tax and reporting
-
Handling payroll queries and maintaining payroll systems
-
Accounts payable and receivable
-
Trust accounting in line with legal and regulatory requirements
-
Bank, trust, and general ledger reconciliations
-
Preparing financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, month-end reporting)
-
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
-
Assisting with tax and regulatory compliance
-
Implementing and improving financial and payroll systems (e.g. Xero, payroll platforms)

Driving process improvements across payroll and finance functions
About You
-
Experience in payroll, bookkeeping, or finance roles (ideally 4+ years)
-
Prior experience within a law firm or professional services environment highly regarded
-
Strong understanding of payroll processes and/or trust accounting requirements
-
High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
-
Systems-savvy with experience across accounting or payroll platforms
-
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
