Our Mission to Feed Thousands in Need in the Philippines

people in need fed

Each year, our team pours their heart and soul into feeding individuals in the Philippines over Christmas. These communities have very little with most having no access to medicine, water or electricity.

Research and Planning

The planning begins as early as January each year to ensure we are ready to deliver by December.

Our Mission

We believe in changing lives and that doesn’t just stop at finding great candidates for great companies. We also believe in making a positive impact in communities both locally and globally.

For every successful placement, we allocate funds to feed individuals in the Philippines.

This initiative helps close the hunger gap and aligns with our purpose of ‘changing lives,’ ensuring that each step forward in someone’s career also brings nourishment and hope to those in need.

Diving into the Numbers

The poverty incidence among the population in the Philippines was estimated at 22.4%, translating to about 25.24 million Filipinos. This means that nearly one in four Filipinos live below the poverty line, unable to meet their basic food and non-food needs.

Of Filipino families experienced involuntary hunger at least once in the past three months.

Of Filipino children under the age of 18 live below the poverty line. This percentage represents millions of children facing significant challenges due to poverty. Furthermore, around 5 million Filipino children were reported to be living in extreme poverty in 2022.

The journey each year to deliver the food is long and challenging, often requiring several hours of travel to reach each location, especially during bad weather when our team must navigate up mountains.

The team were giving out toys when a worried boy approached the team about his two younger siblings. He ran back to the hills, returning with a baby and a toddler. In their rush, they slipped and rolled down the hill. When they arrived, they were breathless and had runny noses but were determined to get the toys.

Not only is food provided, but toys, medicine, and diapers are distributed to those in need. Many of the people we help live in homes made from scratch or out of materials like sacks, tarpaulin, garbage bags, or boxes. Some homes are built using bamboo or wood, but most have no access to water or electricity and lack decent toilet facilities.
